1. Purpose

These General Terms of Use and Sale (Terms of Service) govern access to and use of the Alpimate platform, available at alpimate.com, as well as the contractual relationships between Alpimate, professional guides and clients.

2. Parties

Publisher: Alpimate, France · team@alpimate.com

Professional guides: any natural or legal person holding the legally required qualifications and offering outdoor activities through the platform.

Clients: any natural person using the platform to discover, contact or book activities with guides.

3. Registration & account

Access to certain features requires the creation of an account. Users undertake to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information. Any registration implies acceptance of these Terms of Service.

  • Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential.
  • Alpimate reserves the right to suspend any account in the event of a breach.
  • Only one account per natural person is permitted.

4. Use of the platform

Alpimate is a marketplace connecting certified professional guides with clients wishing to take part in outdoor activities. Alpimate does not directly organise activities and does not act in place of the registered professionals.

  • Publishing unlawful, misleading or offensive content is prohibited.
  • Any unauthorised commercial use of the platform is prohibited.
  • Users undertake to respect the other members of the community.

5. Bookings & payments

Bookings made through Alpimate are subject to confirmation by the professional guide. Payment is secure and processed by our certified payment provider (Stripe).

  • The price displayed is the one agreed at the time of booking.
  • Cancellation terms are set by each professional guide.
  • Alpimate charges a commission on each transaction made through the platform.
  • In the event of a payment dispute, contact team@alpimate.com.

6. Liability

Alpimate acts as an intermediary and cannot be held liable for:

  • The conduct of activities organised by the professional guides.
  • Any damage occurring during the activities.
  • The permanent and uninterrupted availability of the platform.
  • Information published by third-party users.

Each professional guide is solely responsible for the activities they offer, for their legal compliance and for their professional liability insurance.

7. Documents required from professionals and legal basis

Registering as a professional on Alpimate requires verification that the person is legally allowed to lead a physical or sporting activity for remuneration. This verification is based on Article L.212-1 of the French Sports Code (Code du Sport) and applies to all pros on the platform (high-mountain guides, mountain leaders, ski instructors, etc.).

Accordingly, Alpimate collects the following at onboarding:

  • The State diploma or diplomas required to lead the activities offered.
  • An identity document (identity verification of the diploma holder).
  • A valid professional liability insurance certificate.
  • Any additional certifications declared by the pro.
  • The SIRET number (and, where applicable, the KBIS extract) attesting to a legal status to operate.

This data is processed on two complementary legal bases: the legal obligation arising from the French Sports Code (GDPR art. 6.1.c) and the performance of the connection contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b). It is never used for marketing purposes and is never transferred to third parties.

8. Data retention periods

In accordance with the storage limitation principle (GDPR art. 5.1.e), the data collected during pro onboarding is retained for the following periods:

9. The pro's commitments regarding their documents

The pro undertakes to provide authentic documents and to keep them up to date throughout the entire period of their registration. In particular:

  • The professional liability insurance certificate must be renewed each year. The pro provides the new certificate to Alpimate before the previous one expires.
  • Any change of legal status, SIRET number or diploma must be reported to the Alpimate team within a reasonable time.
  • If the professional liability insurance certificate expires without renewal, the pro's profile is suspended until the situation is resolved, and upcoming activities may be cancelled.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, every user has a right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability regarding their personal data.

These rights may be exercised by simple request to team@alpimate.com. Alpimate responds within one month. In the event of disagreement, a complaint may be lodged with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

11. Intellectual property

All the elements making up the Alpimate platform (logo, design, texts, features) are the exclusive property of its creators. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior authorisation is strictly prohibited.

By publishing content on the platform, the user grants Alpimate a non-exclusive licence to use it for the purposes of the service.
